Abstract
2020 - Oil Painting, Glitter, Colored glue on Black Canvas - 24” x 36”
This painting was supposed to be an easy, quick, and “simple” abstract collage of selected colors and glitter, because Pam loves everything with “shiny bling.” Since this was my first “abstract” painting I foolishly thought this should be a walk in the park. (For all abstract artists out there, I now have a much greater appreciation for your talent and work.) In hindsight, this may have been one of the more difficult paintings for me to do. It was on this painting that she kept critiquing my style and work, and she learned the concept of me taking “artist liberty” to do whatever I thought best. We laugh and enjoy it now.
