2021 - Black and White Oil Paint, Chrome Metallic spray paint - 30” x 36”

I love old steam trains. Since both Pam and I travel for our work, we know all too well the sad emotions of leaving, and the happy emotions of returning. Although traveling today is usually done by car or plane, there is something romantic about the nostalgic by-gone era of traveling by a steam train back in the 30’s and 40’s. The woman in the painting is actually Pam from the back with her gorgeous long hair. After spending five months painting this scene, I swear I could hear the steam whistle blowing as it came pulling into the Granger train station under full steam, as I anticipated hearing Pam say to me – Welcome Home.
