And He made the Stars

2018 - Oil Paint on black canvas - 18” x 24”

This is a scene, many light years away from our solar system, that depicts the many stars and galaxies that have yet to be explored and discovered. I probably painted 1000’s of stars in this painting, and yet that is not even a fraction of the stars that exist. It’s overwhelming to say the least. On the first page of the Bible, it states in Genesis 1:16, “And He made the stars,” which is where I get my title from. It’s as if it were almost a postscript like “P.S. Oh, I almost forgot to mention…And He made the stars.” That’s an amazing little statement for such a colossal thing as our universe. Even more amazing is in Psalm 147:4 it states, “He counted and named the stars!” Incomprehensible! What an amazing Creator!
