Snowy Barn
1983 - Watercolor Paint - 24” x 30”
I loved this scene with the rich burnt sienna colors of the barn against the light blue snow. Once I finished it, I filled paint brush with thinned white paint, and then proceeded to gently “flick” the brush hairs to create the effect of it snowing across the entire painting. Before graduating, I donated it to my Central Lee High School, where it hung in the main school office for over 25 years. Honestly, I forgot all about it. Thankfully, a friend remembered me when they decided to remodel the office and gave it back to me. I kept the “Central Lee Schools #1732” property tag.
